Eagle Rare Sazerac Bourbon is aged for 10 years in American oak barrels in Kentucky.
From the same people who give you Pappy Van Winkle, Sazerac has created the 'best value' of bourbon with Eagle Rare.
Founded in 1975 by the Seagram company, Eagle Rare, a product of the Buffalo Trace distillery, fell into the hands of Sazerac in 1989.
The bourbon produced by the Buffalo Trace distillery is a single barrel aged 10 years, this tasty version shows notes of coconut, crème brûlé, dried pears and apples covered in spices.
Buffalo Trace distillery produces great and excellent single barrel Kentucky bourbons: the most classic and famous Blanton’s characterized by notes of vanilla and ripe fruit; and the 10-year-old Eagle Rare bourbon, which is unusual, drier and more complex, soft and mellow.
