This Whiskey Mortlach Cadenhead, is very particular, different from all other Scottish whiskeys.
A Cadenhead Whiskey Mortlach, is for connoisseurs and enthusiasts!
Distilled in 1988, it is left to age in sherry barrels until February 2008, when it was bottled.
The Whiskey Mortlach after its long aging period, 19 years, in sherry barrels located at the Cadenhead breeder and refiner, is bottled to the full in just 664.
As for the organoleptic characteristics, the nose has rich hints of hot barley and cereals.
The finish of Whiskey Mortlach Cadenhead is long and ends with a nice oak note.
Tasting Notes:
Aroma: Rich and meaty, salami. Fairly floral with traces of geranium and then freshly squeezed apple juice.
Palate: Dry notes of sherry with chili and rhubarb, figs and coffee beans.
Final: Sugar syrup with black cherries and an oak note.
We recommend pairing the 19-year-old Whiskey Mortlach with a cigar just as rich in sweetness as the Romeo & Julieta Cedro de luxe No. 3 limited edition Haban house.
