Crysopea Poli is an innovative alembic in bain-marie operating vacuum and column-free dishes.
Compared to other traditional double boiler plants operating in Italy, distillates obtained Crysopea are significantly improved by:
- Increase in the floral note terpene
- Significant decline in the head impurities;
- Significant reduction in foreign
- Reduction in methyl alcohol
From this unique distillation process comes the grappa of Amarone Cleopatra; Grappa aged about a year in French oak barrels, elegant and fragrant grappa, intense full-bodied.
Cleopatra's Gold is a line of Grappa obtained from fresh pomace, connoted by an extreme subtlety, an aromatic cleansing that is rarely found in a distillate.
A short stay in oak barrels completes the structure, rounding force.
Because Cleopatra?
This grappa is dedicated to Cleopatra, Ancient Egypt alchemist, he created the first alembic distilling the story with which the most precious of metals, gold, and called Crysopea, (from the greek chrysos, gold and poirò, do).
In the XXI century in the Poli Distillery, after years of research, she reborn a new Crysopea, the most innovative still in a water bath under vacuum in operation today, which has been distilled the precious Amarone Poli GOLD enclosed in this bottle.
The study of a vacuum still in a bain-marie with adjustable reflux enrichment column without plates, conducted in 2003 by the Experimental Center of the Agricultural Institute of San Michele, and its subsequent implementation in 2005-2010 by the Distilleries Poli, represent a significant contribution to the evolution of the endless technical and production process of the Grappa with discontinuous artisanal method.
