Highland Park Dark Origins is an older distillery bottling created to celebrate its founder, Magnus Eunson.

Produced before 2017, so much so that in 2015 it won the bronze medal as the best whiskey in the world.

Highland Park Dark Origins is a bottling without age definition and differs from classic Highland Park whiskeys thanks to its maturation only in sherry casks.

Dark Origins is a combination of single malts aged 80% in first fill ex-sherry casks (first use) and 20% in refill ex-sherry casks.

The result is an exciting, spicy whiskey with lots of chocolatey notes.

Highland Park Dark Origins whiskey is a collectible whisky, which cannot be missing from the most important and rare bottles of smoked whiskey enthusiasts.

Tasting Notes:

Color: dark amber

Nose: The Highland Park Dark Origins nose is a profusion of ripe floral notes and fresh flowers with a delicious fruit salad. Notes of exotic fruit honey with a slightly smoky finish.

Taste: On the palate Highland Park Dark Origins is creamy and full of fruit preserves and espresso. A creaminess with cinnamon and allspice.

Notes of caramel with dense black forest honey with a more citrus touch.

The finish of Highland Park Dark Origins is long and well sweetened with a smoky finish.
