The brainchild of Peterson of Dublin Sales Director Glen Whelan, the Short line transforms a number of shapes in the Peterson Classic range, reducing both stem and stem length for a more compact presentation.

While not long enough, the shortened style recalls early 20th century pipe designs, creating a vintage and antique aesthetic that reinforces the distinctive House Peterson style.

Here we have a Peterson pipe from the Short series shape 999 corresponding to the Rhodesian shape, a very youthful and dynamic shape.

The Peterson Short 999 Fishtail pipe in the rusticated finish, each pipe is hand stamped and adorned with a wide silver band.

One of Peterson's most popular pipe shapes, our Rhodesian shape pretty much embodies the iconic Peterson House Style, featuring a low-slung lay, thick sturdy stem and stumpy bowl, complete with crisp lines under the rim and easy bending.

Created with the discerning smoker and collector in mind, the Short Premium Classic pipe range elevates the Classic lines with the inclusion of lustrous sterling silver fittings, shaped and applied by the hands of Peterson's most skilled silversmiths.

The Irishman Charles Peterson began producing briar pipes and in 1890 discovered the famous reservoir system.

It is a tank in the torch under the head which has the task of keeping the tobacco dry.

All moisture – that is the goal – is collected in the tank.

Peterson's pipes, made personally and exclusively by hand, are the result of a long and patient process at the headquarters in the south of Dublin, where one of the oldest pipe factories in the world is located: the Peterson of Dublin.

Characteristic of Peterson's pipes is the classic, harmonious shape, elegance and practicality.

They are carved in the most selected and precious briar.

Note in this model the rustic finish of the briar which, like a skin, wraps around the entire body of the pipe.

The external finish may vary slightly from the image as each Peterson briar pipe is a unique piece.

The variations are intended only in the nuances of the briar, the measurements and the shape do not vary.
