Discover Rhum Agricole J.M.: Martinique's Excellence
Founded in 1845 in the northeast of the island of Martinique, the small J.M distillery has earned worldwide fame thanks to the quality of its products.
Rhum Agricole J.M. is an exclusive rum, distilled from the pure fermented juice of sugar cane grown on its own land, located at the foot of the volcano and oriented towards the equator.
This privileged position favors optimal maturation of the sugar cane.
The cane, harvested mechanically, is ground to extract the "vesou", the sugary juice.
The vesou is then left to ferment and distilled using a column still of great tradition.
After distillation, J.M. rum is aged in Limousin oak barrels and mixed with the purest spring water from the forest surrounding the Martinique volcano.
The "Contrôlée Martinique" designation guarantees that it is a rum without added sugar or caramel, subjected to the rigorous controls of the European Community.
Rhum J.M. has a minimum aging of 10 years in Bourbon barrels, in Macouba, an enchanting location near the sea and on the slopes of the volcano.
It has an alcohol content of 50°, giving a refined complexity to the product.
