The refined Rhum J.M. Epices Creoles completes a trio released in 2020 as Atelier of J.M.

Like Jardin Fruité (fruity) and Fumée Volcanique (smoked), this sugar cane juice rum lives up to its name: refined rum with hints of Creole spice.

The innovative Rhum J.M. Epices Creoles is stored in oak barrels for at least three years after distillation.

Aging in wood for 3 years in French and American oak barrels of different toasting which contribute to the development of an intensely spicy aromatic profile.

The small J.M distillery was founded in 1845 in the north-east of the island of Martinique and has gained world fame throughout its existence.

This top "Rhum Agricole" is distilled exclusively from the pure fermented juice of the sugar cane of its land, perched on the slopes of the volcano and facing the equator.

This allows a better maturation of the sugar cane.

The reeds, mechanically harvested, are ground to extract the sugary juice, the "vesou".

This is then left to ferment, then distilled with a column still ... historic.

The rum j.m. it is then aged in its own Limousin oak barrels and mixed with spring water from the forest, a natural park that surrounds the Martinique volcano.

The Rum Atelier is a line dedicated to Mixology, the result of an unprecedented use of barrels, expertly orchestrated by Karine Lassalle, Maître de Chai J.M.

The different rums arise from the study of the multiple characteristics offered by the different juices, heating techniques,

the type of wood and the size of the barrels; there are three blends, with exceptional and singular aromatic profiles, which form the "Atelier dei Rum" range, developed together with Joseph Akhavan, founder and head bartender of the well-known Mabel cocktail bar in Paris.

    Tasting Notes:

The delicate hints of vanilla, honey and woody notes.

When blended, it develops aromas of cinnamon gingerbread, nutmeg, vanilla and ginger.

    Powerful and harmonious.

The nose already suggests a mouth with a pronounced character in which spicy notes stand out: cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper, almost spicy.

A spicy heat that gradually warms the mouth, then developing toasted and almost smoky notes of the wood.

The finish is bewitching, leaving a persistent and delicate spicy sensation on the lips.
