All the Rums of the Moon Import selection come from original barrels, aged in Scotland and individually selected and bottled in the same place, since Scotland is the region of the world where the maturation of the alcohol is the best and most regular compared to all other countries.

The barrels are marked with the numbers 05 - 06.

The color of the Rum of the Moon Import selection is determined by the duration of the aging in oak barrels, but also by the product contained in the barrel in its previous use.

For example, if the cask has contained Sherry for a certain period, the Rum will absorb the tannins and will have a darker color than in case the cask has previously contained another distillate.

The experience and ability of the Scots in the art of aging whiskey is crucial in enhancing the characteristics of a great Rum.

Tasting notes:

View: Bright golden yellow.

Perfumes: Impact of strong spiciness (ginger, saffron), expanded by balsamic scents, enamel, dark tobacco and seasoned wood.

Taste: complex, structured and alcoholic. Slow and very long release of direct olfactory sensations, on which a sumptuous tobacco finish stands out.

Recommended pairing for the Rum of the Parrots selection by Moon Impor distilled in Jamaica is with an Eiroa cigar or for pipe lovers a vanilla Bentley tobacco.
