Founded in 1923, in the heart of the sugar cane plantations of the Caroni plain, this famous distillery in Trinidad was renowned throughout the world for the production of one of the best Heavy Rum, receiving praise from the British navy.
Caroni 12 Years contains rum from the harvest of 2000, the latest available barrels of Rum Trinidad 100%, distilled and aged for twelve years on the island.
The tropical conditions have caused a 60% loss due to evaporation of the distillate.
To perfectly capture the unique character of the Rum, the caroni 12 years was bottled at 50%.
In addition, the label reflects originally published in 1940 to commemorate the golden age of Trinidad Rum.
