The entry level of Kilchomansi embellishes with its fourth release, Machir Bay, excellent value for money.
Kilchoman Machir Bay is aged for 5 and a half years in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and for the following 6 months in ex-sherry Oloroso barrels for a total of 6 years of aging.
The combination of the used barrels gives this single malt a good complexity.
Kilchoman Machir Bay is well balanced with are peat notes in evidence followed by ripe fruit and vanilla.
Kilchoman Machir Bay whiskey was awarded a medal at the 2015 International Wine and Spirit Competition.
