

This grain whisky was developed on the initiative of "La Maison du Whisky".
Aware of the exceptional quality of the single grain produced within the Japanese province of Miyagikyo, through some single cask versions too rare, in December 2011 they suggested to Nikka officials to develop a more accessible version a Nikka coffee grain whisky cheap, but of great quality.
Nine months later, Nikka Coffey Grain whisky no aged was born!
And the result lives up to expectations.
If you want to try something different from the classic Japanese single malts, here you are, Nikka Coffey Grain is a Japanese whisky produced with a mixture of wheat and distilled using a Coffey still.
Nikka's Coffey still was imported to Japan in 1963 from Scotland.
Coffey stills were invented by Irishman Aeneas Coffey in the 1830s and are still widely used, especially for the production of grain whisky or American whiskey.
Nikka Coffey Grain no aged whisky can be drunk neat, on ice, diluted with water, soda or used as a base for a particular cocktail to obtain a perfect Manhattan.
Nikka Coffey Grain no aged whisky made from a majority of corn, distilled from "Coffey" stills, this Japanese single grain whisky offers us an overview of the whisky at the base of all Nikka blends.
Tasting Notes:
View: Straw yellow in color.
Aromas: sweet on the nose with notes of vanilla, corn, spices and tropical fruit.
Taste: good sweetness on the palate with notes of melon, grapefruit, vanilla, biscuits and hints of citrus. The finish is medium-long with hints of corn and wood.
Whisky Nikka Coffey grain can be paired with a Cuban cigar, candied fruit, dry biscuits or panettone!!
