The finest Palo Cortado sherry casks have been filled with lightly smoked Spriongbank Single Malt Scotch Whisky to create an excellent, exceptional whisky.

Springbank Palo Cortado Whiskey is aged for 10 years and then bottled at the natural strength of 55 degrees.

This Springbank Palo Cortado was aged for 6 years in bourbon cask and then for the next 4 years it was refined in Palo cortado barrels, a sugary and fragrant sherry typical of the Malaga area.

Springbank PC Palo Cortado was distilled in July 2013, bottled in September 2023 at full alcohol content of 55 degrees in just 10,200 bottles.

The result is a unique, incredible, refined product, which immediately captured the attention of passionate collectors and tasters of peated Scottish single malts.

Limited edition 2023 of only 11,200 bottles, it is true liquid gold, to be tasted sparingly, engagingly delicious with an explosion of aromas of white fruit and chocolate accompanied by a wisp of vanilla smoke.

Tasting Notes

Color: Golden honey.

Aroma: Initial aroma of malt, toffee and liquorice followed by cooked pear, chocolate, cream and marzipan.

Palate: Unmistakable presence of the tannins of the Malaga fortified wine. Completed by warm cereal and woody notes. Swedish cranberry berries. Flavors of salt chocolate and sea.

Finish: Amazing, for the lustful. Medium long and dry...but unforgettable...
