  • The most rare whiskey of Michel Couvreur.
  • Distilled from unusual combination of malted cereals and non-malted cereals.
  • Aged 4 years in oak barrels.

Michel Couvreur's products are inspired by the highest Scottish tradition, unique and amazing as he is.
Certainly one can say that any creation by Michel Couvreur is unique in the whiskey world.
His single Malt The Unique is something more rare.
Nervous, round, it is distilled with a coffey still 'Coffey Still' before being aged for 4 years in oak barrels.
It is distilled in Scotland from an unusual combination of malted cereals and non-malted cereals to produce a rounded flavor that is unique in its genus.
Whiskey distilled in Scotland based on non-malted cereals and malt is then ennobled by seasoning with oak barrels in the caves of French Burgundy.
Belgian origin and négociant of Burgundy wines, Michel Couvreur falls in love with the Whiskey world in the late 1970s.
Michel Couvreur is nicknamed the last of the Mohicans because he is the last Whiskey craftsman.
Couvreur has always followed every detail of the production. He started to distil Edradour and still uses small distilleries, demanding the production of every production phase according to his indications.
For aging, Couvreur continues to use Sherry's barrels according to Scottish tradition.
Scotland's cleanest waters are used to reduce alcohol levels.

Notes Tasting:
Color: A beautiful golden color like a chardonnay wine.
Perfume: The nose is sweet and bitter, typical wheat whiskey. But of high quality. Young with these 4 years of aging, but still very interesting.
Flavors: Delicately caramelized with a touch of spice, barrel wood gives a vanilla finish.
