Longrow single malt whiskey is a special production of Springbank which takes its name from a closed Campbeltown distillery.
The Longrow distillery is famous for the double distillation of its whiskeys but above all it is famous for its highly peated single malts.
Longrow single malt whiskey 18 years is aged in oak barrels and is highly peated.
Springbank normally releases the Longrow in a nice NAS version (the Longrow Peated), flanked every year by limited editions.
Longrow single malt whiskey 18 years is one of these limited editions.
This bottle is the 2021 version, an old collector's release.
This 18 year old batch was bottled in 2021 at 46%, and was aged in a mix of American oak barrels.
As always, Springbank does not color or filter, and appears quite clear to the eye.
