    The Ibicencas Erbe are the combination of a slow, careful and refined distillates of local herbs and plants, tea, aromatic bubbles and maceration of the island of Ibizza.

    The liqueur of Ibiza is composed of distilled alcohol of certain wines and molasses to 26, aromatic plants of the island, sugar and demineralized water.

    Ibicencas Erbe is a perfect combination of anise, badian, thyme, rosemary, lemon, orange, Rue, peppermint, juniper berry, etc. up to a combination of 18 plants, leaves, seeds and fruits.

    It is known its role to perform a correct digestion, thanks to its content in the form of infusions or distillates, of some plants and 100% of natural ingredients.

    Over 130 years the Marí Mayans family started collecting recipes and studying the different effects of medicinal herbs and plants for the intentions of that time, which was very natural based medicine and home remedies.

    Research and correct combination of flavors, varying over the years, changing the composition of each plant was part of an initial formula to obtain an ideal flavor.

    Brief history of the Ibicencas Herbs FAMILY MARI MAYANS

    Ibiza herbs have been prepared by rural people in Ibiza for over two hundred years.

    The procedure used was very rudimentary and each family has its own recipe, which was basically a group of plants soaked in a bottle or carafe of anise.

    It was a drink of domestic consumption, with a great disparity of flavors, since it is mainly used plants that each family had closest to their farm.

    At the end of the nineteenth century larger producers appear on a scale that collect and improve the formula and processing procedures (still) the Ibicencas ERBE, mainly because the addition of more plants for maceration, using not only the plants near the farm, but also investigating the liqueur that could still improve by having to go and collect them in other areas of the island.
