The Auchroisk distillery, with a production of over five million litres, was modernised and automated in 2015.
In addition to the large production capacity it has large storage capacities thanks to numerous warehouses that can accommodate over 250,000 barrels, with plans to add four more buildings.

This expression of Auchroisk is a fine whisky.
A pleasant nose combined with an interesting palate and a substantial finish allows it to live up to its promises.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Dried fruit, burnt cake crumbs and caramelised citrus.
Palate: Autumnal fruits, for me dried apples macerated in sherry, a dry but luxurious sensation.
Finish: The finish of Auchroisk whisky is dominated by spices, particularly cloves and nutmeg, but as soon as these fade there is a strong presence of cream.
Overall: Perhaps the most interesting whisky of the 2016 Special Releases, this Auchroisk offers great fruit flavours that you can relax with all evening.
Auchroisk whisky is best paired with Habanos reserva.
