Peterson system standard Heritage - 306 P-Lip Oom Paul shape with palatal mouthpiece.
The shape of the Oom Paul pipe is particular because it combines the robust stability of a Poker with a comfortable balance to hold it in the mouth. The Peterson 306 Oom Paul flat bottom has a versatile design, able to sit stably on a desk or to be easily gripped between my teeth. Its bold, muscular proportions resonate with iconic Peterson House style.
The Irishman Charles Peterson began producing briar pipes and in 1890 discovered the famous reservoir system.
This is a reservoir in the stem under the head that has the task of keeping the tobacco dry.
All the moisture – this is the goal – is channeled into the tank.
The Peterson series of pipes called System Standard first appeared in 1945, but the entry-level design has been a staple in catalogs since Charles Peterson obtained his final patent in 1898.
Designed to provide a cooler, drier smoke, each pipe features a deep reservoir within the stem to collect excess moisture.
A graduated hole mouthpiece that channels smoke and allows moisture to collect inside the tank; a sturdy military nickel support, which allows the tube to be disassembled and cleaned without damage or deformation; and our patented P-Lip tip, which draws smoke upwards, thus reducing tongue bite.
Available here in the rich ruby color of the Heritage finish.
Peterson's pipes, made personally and exclusively by hand, are the result of long and patient processing at the headquarters south of Dublin, where one of the oldest pipe factories in the world is located: Peterson of Dublin.
Characteristic of Peterson pipes is the classic, harmonious shape, elegance and practicality.
They are carved from the most selected and precious briar.
Note in this model the flaming of the briar that envelops the entire body of the pipe.
Each Peterson of Dublin pipe is a unique and unrepeatable piece and the photos you see portray this exclusive pipe, once purchased it will be removed from the catalogue.
The external finish may vary slightly from the image as each Peterson briar pipe is a unique piece.
The variations are intended only in the shades of the briar, the measurements and shape do not vary.
