Caroni 1994 Guyana Stock 23 Y.O. 100 Proof Vol.57,18% Cl.70

The Caroni rum 23 years of aging 100 proof is the thirty-sixth release of the famous Caroni distillery.

The Caroni distillery ceased production in 2002, a production of excellent rum that lasted 84 years.

However, various stocks of Caroni rum remain around the world. Jealously guarded barrels that age under the Caribbean sun.

So it was for this edition of Caroni rum, immediately called Guyana stock.

Distilled in 1994, it underwent a double aging, until 2008 it aged in Trinitad then it was transferred to Guyana where it remained until 2017.

This incredible 23-year-old rum has been bottled at high proof to keep all its taste notes intact.

It must therefore be tasted bearing in mind that it has a high alcohol content.

Distilled by Caroni in 1994 and aged for 23 years with a product loss of 85%, it is bottled by Velier in 2017 in very few bottles.

All Caroni bottles are progressively numbered on the label.

Tasting Notes:

Balanced and intense, this rum cult version of the island of Trinidad and Tobago is characterized by a woody taste of citrus, beeswax and white flowers.

The nose is well perceived aromas of molasses, tar, coffee, candied lemon, black currant, very ripe banana and vanilla.

We recommend a combination of Caroni rum with Orciolo di Compagnia Toscana Sigari or with Cohiba Magicos.
