On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Velier, the Italian importer of Chamarel, Maurizio Distillery created a blend of two important production vintages.
French oak barrels 181 and 182 contained two exceptional distilled agricultural rum in 2010 and 2014.
With a careful mixing, 80% rum of 2010 and 20% of distilled rum in 2014, the Vatted single Rum Chamarel Blend 70th Velier Anniversary was created.
A few bottles of this precious agricultural rum on the island of Mauritius have been produced.
Chamarel Blend 70th Velier Anniversary was bottled in 2017 in limited edition with only 1,140 bottles.
It is the only vatted single rum produced by this special distillery in Mauritius.
Chamarel Single rum farms 2010/2014 is a pure distillate rum, produced exclusively with potam.
An Still Still Potion Rum for Rum Distillation is a rarity, but it confers a particular softness on Chamarel's rum.
Chamarel 2010/2014 Blend rum 70th Velier Anniversary is full proof with an alcohol content of 56.5%.
Notes Tasting:
Color: golden yellow with amber reflections.
Fragrances: Intense sensations of great clarity, where fresh and dry fruits are found on the nose, as well as a delicate spice that introduces the slightly vanilla wood.
Taste: In the mouth it has a large body, a discreet softness, and aromas in which, in addition to vanilla, the notes of almonds and hazelnuts return.
The Chamarel 2010/2014 Rum Blend rum 70th Velier Anniversary is a refined rum to match a world-famous cigar among the best Mastro Tornabuoni Affinato or La Galera Habano, or why not, a rum that is to be tasted slowly with a nice smoked pipe Ascorti and a Peterson tobacco.
