Ichiro Akuto's production is not only made up of expensive single malts, in fact the Japanese distiller created the perfect blended whiskey and then left it to age in a particular barrel.
The perfect Blended Japanese Whiskey Ichiro's Malt is created starting from malt whiskeys from the Chichibu distillery distilled in 2000 and selected by Ichiro himself.
These Single malts are then aged in Japanese Mizunara oak barrels (Quercus mongolica).
The Mizunara Japanese oak barrel is different from European barrels because it releases more aromas and processes single malts more.
The Blended Japanese Whiskey "Mizunara Wood Reserve" expresses all the wisdom, in the art of distillation, of Ichiro Akuto, owner of the Chichibu distillery and the Hanyu distillery.
Bottled in 2010 it is very balanced and composed of young malt whiskeys that gain a lot of character from the Mizunara cask.
A round and smooth whiskey that can be enjoyed after lunch, after dinner or as an aperitif, every day and never tires!!
From the first taste you can recognize all the distinctive features of the best-known and best Japanese Blended and, thanks to its peculiar vigor, it knows how to conquer the most expert amateurs.
