Vittorio ‘Gianni’ Capovilla is recognized worldwide as one of the best, if not the best, distiller in the world, especially for his passion: fruit distillates, rums and grappas.
Capovilla defines his excellent grappas as the noble expression of a "poor" product.
Capovilla Moscato Giallo Grappa is obtained by double-pass distillation in small copper bain-marie stills of Moscato Giallo grape pomace, from a late harvest on the Euganean Hills, a land of the most varied and unforgettable aromas.
Vittorio has made the excellence of the raw material and the purity of the distillates his true reason for living.
The processing that Capovilla has chosen for the prized raw material is highly artisanal.
The result is indeed grappa and pure spirits, for true connoisseurs.
Capovilla yellow muscat grappa has intense and enveloping aromas, aromatic and a soft flavor, rich in fruity and caramelized notes.
After distillation, the distillate is stored in steel barrels for 2 years, a process called by Vittorio Capovilla "rest-esterification".
It is then bottled diluted with spring water and brought to a strength of 41% vol. without adding sugars, flavorings or anything else.
