Bielle 2007 Tres Hombres rum single cask 70 Velier Vol.55% Cl.70

In February 2017 during the visit of Luca Gargano to the distillery Bielle at Marie Galante together with Gianni Vittorio Capovilla and Jerome Thierry, tres hombres tasted several barrels at the distillery Bielle.

Luca Gargano chose between these two twin barrels, 217 and 218, both distilled in 2007.
The exceptional agricultural rum contained in these two barrels was selected to compose the limited edition Rum Bielle 2007 Tres Hombres dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Velier.
While the single cask 218 was bottled at Marie Galante, the cask 217 was carried to the beach by a charrette pulled by the oxen and was brought to swimming on a Tres Hombres sailboat anchored off St. Louis.
The sailing ship, with a long transoceanic journey, then transported it to Europe.
The barrel 217 ex bourbon was bottled in 2017 at full alcohol level in only 250 bottles.
These are the latest available.
The fineness of the Bielle 2007 Rural Rum has interesting notes, putting the mind on precious woods and noble spices.
The tasting experience that gives this distillate is extremely composite.
 

Notes Tasting:
Color, Bright gold.
The nose shows hints of hawthorn, white peach and zabaione.
On the palate date flavors, dark chocolate, cinnamon and on the end a pinch of chili.
Smooth and long-lasting smell of direct smells, featuring a sumptuous closure of chocolate
