Diamond -H- 2010 pure single rum 70th Velier Vol.62% Cl.70

In April 2017, Velier bought the original rum stock of the Hampden Estate distillery in Jamaica.

Founded in 1743, the Hampden Estate is one of Jamaica's oldest sugar plantations.
Renowned among the Jamaican rums for its 100% rum Pot-still with an intense flavor, continues today to produce distillates that are the quintessence of rum.
A Luca Gargano could not escape the rums of Hampden Estate and has selected 5 casks ex bourbon to compose the limited edition Diamond H 2010 dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Velier.
The best five barrels of pure selected single rums were invecchate under the sun of Jamaica where they sold a large part of the product to the Angels and matured the esters up to 1000gr / hlpa.
On the occasion of the seventieth anniversary of the Velier Distribution, Luca Gargano decided to bottle the 5 barrels with the highest levels of esters, combining them in this "H", also called diamond because of its amazing esters.
To further appreciate the Diamond H 2010 rum dedicated to the 70th Velier, the label was designed by Warren Khong, a masterpiece!

Tasting Notes:
Of intense caramel color tending to mahogany, the nose expresses all the olfactory sensations expected from a rum, from the scents of exotic and dry fruit, to spicy and tobacco scents.
In the mouth does not disappoint expectations, it is hot but not excessive, it is intense, balanced, with a spicy return.
