The Single Malt Miyagikyo No Aged is a Whisky made by the Nikka distillery, which represents a true institution in the panorama of spirits from the Land of the Rising Sun. It was founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, who combined the centuries-old family tradition in the art of producing Saké with a passion for Whisky, deepened by a long stay in Scotland. Nikka Whiskies are thus the symbol of the meeting of two different cultures, apparently very distant, but which have found their common territory in the stills. Nikka's distinctive feature lies in a still artisanal approach, devoted to the search for absolute quality. Although production has now reached significant volumes, Nikka continues to work with top-quality barley malt, light and pure spring water and accurate and rigorous distillation processes.

The Miyagikyo No Aged Nikka Single Malt Whisky, at the end of the distillation process, is refined in previously used oak barrels, in order to soften the profile of the Whisky and enrich its aromatic complexity. In the glass it has an antique gold color, bright and luminous. On the nose it expresses an elegant bouquet, with floral scents, aromas of yellow pulp fruit, hints of soft oriental spices and black pepper. The taste is subtle and light, with a velvety entry to the palate, characterized by notes of malt, tropical fruit, chocolate and spices. The finish is very harmonious and persistent.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: flowery and well balanced with fresh apples, malt and a touch of sweetness from the sherry barrels.

Palate: Round and silky, with a floral sweetness, light freshness and a soft finish.
