Irishman Charles Peterson began producing briar pipes and in 1890 discovered the famous reservoir system.
It is a tank in the torch of the head which has the task of keeping the tobacco dry underneath.
All the moisture - this is the goal - is conveyed into the tank.
Peterson's pipes are the result of a long and patient process at the headquarters in the south of Dublin, where one of the oldest pipe factories in the world is located: the Peterson of Dublin.
Characteristic of Peterson's pipes is the classic, harmonious shape, elegance and practicality.
All Peterson standard system Heritage - 313 P-Lip bent billiard pipes are carved in the most selected and precious briar.
System Standard first appeared in 1945, but entry-level design has been a point closed in catalogs since Charles Peterson obtained his final patent in 1898.
Designed to provide cooler, drier smoke, each pipe features a deep reservoir within the stem to collect excess moisture; a graduated hole mouthpiece that channels smoke and allows moisture to collect inside the tank; a sturdy military support in nickel, which allows you to dismantle and clean the pipe without damage or deformation; and our patented P-Lip tip, which attracted the smoke upwards, thus reducing the bite of the tongue.
Extremely light and with a strong and deep burner, for relaxing and intense smoke.
