- Out-of-Stock
Rum Caroni 2000 is the last Caroni millesimato, single barrel, to full degree released by Velier in 2017.
A rare rum for collectors.
Distilled in February 2000, this limited edition of Caroni rum has aged 17 years entirely in tropical weather, in Trinidad.
The Caroni 2000 stock consists of only 2 barrels.
During the aging of 17 years the two Caroni rum barrels have lost over 80% of the product by evaporation.
The remaining quantity of Caroni rum is therefore very small.
In February 2017 only 582 bottles are bottled at full capacity 55%.
The bottling is on the occasion of the landing of Velier, Luca Gargano, and of the Maison du Whiskey in New York and in the US market.
For this great occasion we also wanted to take back the original Caroni rum labels with photos of Fredi Macarini.
The few bottles of Caroni 2000 produced become a rarity like the collectible stamps and are now all sold to collectors.
This is the last available.
This incredible 17-year-old Extra Strong rum has been bottled at a high level (55% high proof) to keep intact all its taste notes and aromas.
It is therefore necessary to taste it keeping in mind that it has a high alcohol content.
Tasting Notes:
Color: dark amber.
Enveloping and intense balsmic, this cult rum version of the island of Trinidad and Tobago is characterized by a woody taste, raisins, dried fruits, dates and notes of resin.
On the nose are very perceptible aromas of molasses, tar, coffee, candied fruit and chocolate, very ripe banana and vanilla.
Caroni 2000 Rum can be combined with a Padron Anniversary cigar or a new Partagas D6, but if you are a lover of slow smoke, we recommend combining it with Peterson De Luxe Mixture.
