On the occasion of the second edition of the Clairin World Championship, held in Haiti in April 2017, the new rum blend was created consisting of the "veterans" Sajous of the Chelo Distillery, Casimir of the homonymous distillery and Vaval of the Arawaks Distillery, with the addition of the new entry Romelus of the homonymous distillery.
The company Velier of Genoa sponsored the Clairin World Championship event held in the hoteò Florita in Haiti.
On the 70th anniversary of Velier, it was decided to bottle and sell the Rum Clairin World Championship 2017.

The "Clairin" are Rhum produced by artisan distilleries located in Haiti.
They are processed from natural sugar cane, without resorting to hybrid varieties, with spontaneous fermentations without selected yeasts, distillations in alembics and no filtration.

Tasting Notes:
Color: transparent and crystalline.
Aromas: strong notes of sugar cane, spices and tropical fruits can be perceived on the nose.
Taste: in the mouth it enters decidedly, exuberantly and intensely, on a background of spices and fruit. The finish is very long and harmonious.
