Foursquare Principia Single Blended Rum Vol.62% Cl.70

Foursquare Principia 2008 is a rum produced by the collaboration between Richard Seale and Luca Gargano in Barbados.

It is a rum blend of three different types of barrel used for aging.

Naturally the aging period varies depending on the type of barrel.

By doing this you make the most of the characteristics of the barrel and improve the rum.

The rum distilled by Foursquare in 2008 is aged for 3 years in ex-Bourbon barrels and then 6 years in ex-sherry barrels.

Each of the three rums is a Single Blended like all the rums aging at Foursquare.

The Foursquare Principia 2008 was bottled in the tropics in November 2017 and 5400 bottles were produced.

Foursquare Principia 2008 with its careful aging in double barrels was immediately considered among the best rums in the world.

It was aged under the tropics, as usual.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Beautiful shiny amber color, overloaded. A color that inspires respect, classy, ​​elegant.

Perfumes: Opulent, hints of leather, tobacco, lemon peel for a creamy and buttery nose. In a way, it's quite delicate, despite the lethal force. Two "Angel's Tears" of water dilute its power, opening it up even to less accustomed palates.

Mouth: Full-bodied and rather dense with hints of oak and cocoa, spices, nuts, toffee.

In the mouth it complements the nose, with notes that are indelibly fixed in the memory of those who taste it.
