Damoiseau is the leading company not only in the Antilles but, in the rhum category of Guadeloupe, also in France.
Since 1942, the Damoiseau family, owner of the Bellevue distillery in Guadeloupe, has been producing a high quality Rhum Agricolo at the gates of Le Moule, in the Grande-Terre.
The Damoiseau distillery produces rum by distilling it from the best sugar cane.
Aged rum of the vintage Guadaloupe distilled from pure sugarcane juice.
Distilled in 2008, it is aged in ex-bourbon oak barrels for 7 years.
The 7-year-old aging in Bellevue, under the Caribbean sun, condenses flavors and aromas of the vintage 2008 Damoiseau rum.
It is during its refinement in Kentucky oak barrels, that the agricultural rum Damoiseau acquires its amber color and its intense aromas.
The bottling takes place at a full alcohol level of 47.9, just to preserve all the perfumes, primary and secondary of this exceptional rum.
Tasting Notes:
Color: dark amber.
Nose: Very complex perfumes. You can find scents of honey, vanilla, spices. Immediately we notice balsamic scents.
Mouth: Intense, an explosion of taste, round, easy to taste. The hints of sweet spices and biscuits prevail over caramel giving this rum seven years vintage Damoiseau 2008 an unparalleled flavor.
Finish: long, rich, sweet spices, a hint of gingerbread, combined with the sweetness of vanilla and legnoex bourbon.
To combine the agricultural rum Damoiseau 2008 seven years vintage with powerful cigars and loads of aroma like the Partagas Maduro or the Super Tuscan by Mastro Tornabuoni.
