The Irishman Charles Peterson began producing briar pipes and in 1890 discovered the famous reservoir system.
It is a tank in the torch under the head which has the task of keeping the tobacco dry.
All the humidity – this is the goal – is channeled into the tank.
Peterson's pipes, made personally and exclusively by hand, are the result of a long and patient process at the headquarters in the south of Dublin, where one of the oldest pipe factories in the world is located: the Peterson of Dublin.
Characteristic of Peterson's pipes is the classic, harmonious shape, elegance and practicality.
The shape of this Peterson stand up Tankard pipe is inspired by a cylindrical poker, a small cylinder and therefore has a good flat support base.
The Peterson Tankard P-Lip Nickel mounted pipe is equipped with a Peterson branded chrome ferrule.
They are carved in the most selected and precious briar and are very light, only 32 grams.
The color of the briar is dark, so as to enhance the veins of the briar that surround the small barrel body of the Peterson Tankard Nickel mounted pipe.
Note the long and slender mouthpiece in black methacrylate, slightly curved on the tooth of the palatal mouthpiece which directs the smoke on the palate rather than on the tongue.
The palatal mouthpiece used almost exclusively by Peterson Vintage.
