Behind Abuelo 12 year old oloroso sherry cask rum lies the Varela Hermanos family business.

Now in its third generation, it is the largest producer of branded spirits in Panama and one of the most important rum producers in Central America.

The Varela Hermanos distillery has succeeded, with over a century of tradition and experience, in combining the multiplicity of flavors and tastes of Panama in a rum aged in barrels previously used for sherry.

The maturation of Abuelo rum plays a fundamental role and takes place not only in old Oloroso Sherry barrels, but also with the Solera method.

The result is Abuelo 15 year old Oloroso Sherry Cask rum, one of the smoothest, sweetest, most engaging, fascinating rums ever produced.

Abuelo 15 year old Oloroso Sherry Cask is very reminiscent of old Zacapa rums.

Color: Abuelo 15 Años Oloroso Sherry Cask is golden amber in color.

Aromas: The nose is reminiscent of floral components, touched by a delicate sweetness and notes of cherries in alcohol.

Taste: Soft and rounded, full-bodied, with aromatic hints of sweet spices, chocolate, butter and honey.
