Mount Gilboa 2008 70th Velier is a pure rum still distilled in pot still by Frank Ward.

Mount Gay is a historic distillery in northern Barbados, a producer of single blended rum.
The property has been in the hands of the Ward family for more than a hundred years, today the master distiller is Frank Ward, descendant of the historic owners.
Mount Gilboa 2008 70th Velier comes from the selection of 3 barrels of pure triple rum distillation single of 2008, the only one aged in former brandy barrels.
The result is therefore a blend of these 3 barrels aged 9 years in tropical climate.

Tasting Notes:
Of intense caramel color tending to mahogany, the nose expresses all the olfactory sensations expected from a rum, from the scents of exotic and dry fruit, to the spicy and tobacco scents.
In the mouth does not disappoint expectations, it is hot but not excessive, it is intense, balanced, with a spicy return.
