Aberlour Casg Annamh Vol.48% Cl.70

The Aberlour Casg Annamh series is made up of single malts from small batches matured first in ex-sherry oak barrels and then subsequently in American oak barrels.

The rigorous selection of only the finest quality barrels for the maturation of this whiskey gave inspiration to the name.

Aberlour Casg Annamh is an expression that derives from Gaelic and means "rare barrel".

In fact, there are three types of barrels used in this phase: an oak barrel which previously hosted European Sherry and two different American oak barrels.

After a long aging, the Aberlour Casg Annamh whiskey is bottled as a cask strength, at full strength.

The result is a bold, complex, full-bodied single malt, but also of great balance, a memorable savory whisky, with an intense character.

Tasting notes:

Color: Deep rich, dark amber.

Nose: The range of aromas is very broad on the nose, opening up in a bouquet of aromas that recall notes of caffe latte and honey, hazelnut, followed by a nuance of candied peel and raisins.

Taste: The palate is full-bodied and soft, with fruity hints of apple, peaches in syrup and oriental spices that bring liveliness to the sip. Refined and very persistent finish.
