The manager of the Benromach distillery selects the best ex bourbon barrel of first filling and lets the whiskey rest for eight years.

This single malt Benromach for Meregalli was distilled in 2008 and aged in the barrel Firts Fill Bourbon Barrel Number 340.

Bottled in 2016 at full grade 61% in just 250 bottles.

The Benromach 2008 for Meregalli whiskey has matured in virgin American oak bourbon barrels from environmentally managed forests that have added a unique strength and depth that complements the traditional Benromach spirit.

AROMA WITHOUT WATER

Sweet and malty, initially, with vanilla, smoky caramel and spices.

TASTE WITHOUT WATER

Spicy and creamy with definite sweet fruit flavors, ripe bananas, hints of peat and smoke.

Fresh and malt, with hints of peat, coffee and cocoa. Vanilla with a touch of citrus, lemons.

Spices, with tropical fruit aromas. Creamy with a dark chocolate edge.
