Since 1887 the production of rum Clément is carried out according to the purest traditions and according to the rules inherited from Homère and Charles Clément.

Jealously guarded, this family recipe has been handed down from generation to generation, reaching the present day in the same way it was two centuries ago.

The Maison Clément belonged to Virginie de Franqueville and Georges du Prey de la Ruffinière in 1880, following the great sugar crisis the estate was seized and subsequently repurchased in 1887 by the Doctor Homère Clément one of the first physicians of the island who was also mayor of Le François and deputy of the Martinique government.

Having large possessions of sugar cane (the fields extend over more than 100 hectares around the house), it was initially worked in the factories of Le François and subsequently, towards the beginning of the 20th century, creates a distillery of its property that produces a rum, according to the old agricultural traditions and for this it becomes very renowned and famous for its high quality level.

Every year in November, it's a tradition: Clément markets a new edition of its famous white blue cane rum.

Its specificity is the first rum in the world to have been developed from a single variety of native Martinique sugar cane.

This purity allows to develop incomparable flavors that are released in Clément's rum blanc Canne bleue, much sought after by connoisseurs, in a limited edition.

Its exceptional sugar makes Clément Canne Bleue rum a unique product.

Why the nickname "Bleue Cane" then?

If you have ever had the chance to go to the French West Indies, Martinique, and see a sugar cane field, you will realize that the root of this cane variety is purple blue at full maturity.

This name is therefore an allusion to this beautiful color of the root of the sugar cane.

But the quality of this noble rum blanc Canne Bleue by Clément, also awarded a silver medal at the Concours Général Agricole in 2015, is not the only reason for its success ...

The very bottle of Clément's rum blanc Canne Bleue is superb, arouses enthusiasm.
