Douglas Laing's Big Peat Christmas Limited Edition Special is a collectable whiskey bottle.

The Big Peat whiskey by Douglas Laing is a blend of Single Malt Peats coming exclusively from the legendary Isle of Islay containing small portions of the spirits of Ardberg, Caol Ila, Bowmore and, surprisingly, also of Port Ellen.

This is possible because Douglas Laing is in possession of one of the largest stocks in the Port Ellen distillery that ceased operations back in 1983.

From this skilful mix of peated whiskeys of the island of Islay nase Big Peat with a peat of 40ppm.

An unusual detail that makes this product incredible is that no "vatted malt" label tends to indicate selected malts.

It is a blended, unfiltered, cold colored Whiskey obtained from what are called Small Batches, or small batches of carefully selected barrels to guarantee quality and rarity.

The production of each individual Small Batch is around 2000 bottles.

The Big Peat whiskey has been awarded with numerous awards including 96 points from Murray's famous Whiskey Bible.
