The "Masskara" is a Rum that was born in a distillery created in 2011 to give voice to a particularly suited territory.
The fermentation phase is followed by distillation, carried out in traditional copper stills.
The distillate is enriched with the infusion of Filipino Calamansi citrus, which embellishes the aromas with fresh citrus notes.

It is distilled by Ginebra San Miguel in their Bago Distilery for the Bleeding Heart Rum Company, founded in 2012 by Remy Cointreau executive Stephen Carroll.
It is distilled from local Philippine molasses and aged for a minimum of seven years.
The Bago distillery was founded in 1902 by La Tondeña Distillers and pioneered the use of a molasses wash in the area it had previously preferred to distil from the nipa palm.
San Miguel acquired the distillery in 2003.
Tasting Notes:
To the eye it has a dark amber color with luminous mahogany reflections.
The nose is broad and rich, with a bouquet that expresses soft aromas of oriental spices, vanilla, honey, aromas of hazelnut, dried fruit, fragrant nuances of ripe fruit, candied fruit and fresh hints of citrus peel.
On the palate it is warm and round, with an enveloping sip, characterized by dense aromas of great gustatory persistence. THE
the finish is long and harmonious, with a pleasantly spicy finish.
For consumption it is suggested to drink rum Don Papa MassKara cask alone or with ice and perhaps accompanied by a good Partagas cigar.
