Released for the first time in 2018, the single malt Ardbeg AN OA is a round and soft peaty whiskey.
To produce the Ardbeg AN OA a sequence of three different barrels is used, an innovative system that gives the classic Ardbeg Ten a softness and a new taste.
whiskey Ardbeg AN OA is a full-strength whiskey, 46.6%, cold unfiltered and obtained from a vatting of various whiskeys ripened in virgin European oak barrels, in ex sherry casks and ex bourbon barrels.
The marriage between these distillates took place in the new "Gathering Vat" of the distillery, it is a very large barrel, made of French oak, which allows the single malts to be "married" for a certain period of time before being bottled.
The Ardbeg An Oa whiskey age is not declared but the average should be 10 years.
