This single malt from the islands is richly peated, complex and intense with great balance and elegance typical of the Bruichladdich distillery.

To distill Octomore version 13.1 which reaches 137.3 ppm, only very hard and organic Scottish barley was used, grown by the same distillery.

Octomore 13.1 was aged for 5 years in American oak barrels and bottled at full alcohol content of 59.2%.

Persistent finish with notes of smoky spices and a touch of oak, fruity hints are discovered with the addition of water.

Tasting notes:

Aroma: Orange, dried fruit, almonds and honey. Peat is the master with notes of oak and hay.
