The hexagonal box for matches is in Florentine leather worked and tanned by hand by Pelletteria Peroni of Florence.

The Peroni brothers have worked Florentine leather by hand and personally since 1956.

The table match holders are made strictly by hand by true Florentine craftsmen with the ancient technique of "Florentine artistic leather" using first quality materials, such as vegetable tanned leather in Santa Croce sull'Arno.

The seams are invisible, the rigidity, the balance of the shape, the perfect color for all desks or sigar club corners.

The head mix only lights up on a specific surface. They are also called safety matches, as the mixture with the greatest flammability is not all in the head but is divided between the head and the rubbing surface. The surface is in fact composed of glass powder and red phosphorus, while the head is composed of antimony sulfide and potassium chlorate.

If you want to use Swedish or safety matches, you can place a strip of phosphor paper on top of the abrasive paper on the bottom.
