

Worthy Park Estate is an estate dated 1670, in the heart of Jamaica, in the parish of St. Catherine, sixty kilometers north of Kingston.
Managed by only three families in 340 years, it has already produced rum since its foundation, therefore it is to be considered the oldest still operating distillery in the world.
Worthy Park Estate is a sugar factory with distillery that produces rum in pure Jamaican style: the proprietary molasses are subjected to two types of fermentation, Light and Heavy according to the yeasts used, raised in oak vats.
The distillation of Worthy Park rum takes place only in a Privat-style pot still with double retort, therefore it is a Pure Single Rum.
Gordon Clarke, a member of the 99-year-old family of the distillery, has created a new version of the famous Jamaican rum.

The Worthy Park Single estate Reserve Quatre Vins cask 2013, aged for 4 years in American oak barrels previously used for bourbon and then rests 2 years in barrels that previously contained Moscatell, sauternes, juracon, monbazillac.
This prolonged aging under the Jamaica sun generates a loss of rum by evaporation of more than 75%.
The final step in the barrel previously used for the French fortified wine, gives the rum sweetness and a bouquet of exceptional aromas.
