Grappa di Traminer is one of the specialties of the master distiller Capovilla.
Vittorio 'Gianni' Capovilla is recognized worldwide as one of the best, if not the best, distiller in the world, in particular for his passion: fruit spirits, rums and grappas.
Capovilla defines its delicious grappas as the noble expression of a "poor" product.
Grappa di traminer Capovilla is obtained by double-pass distillation in small copper bain-marie stills of grape marc of the Gewurztraminer variety, coming from fresh juices from Trentino, the land of the most varied and unforgettable perfumes.
Vittorio made the excellence of the raw material and the purity of the distillates his real reason for living.
The processing that Capovilla has chosen for the precious raw material is highly handcrafted.
The result is precisely very pure grappa and distillates, by true connoisseurs.
It is a monovarietal grappa, made exclusively with pomace coming from the fermentation of Gewurztraminer.
This aromatic grape, originally from central Europe, not only produces rich and persuasive wines, but at the end of the winemaking process, it leaves very fragrant marc with rich aromas, which are perfect for use in the production of refined distillates.
Capovilla traminer grappa has intense and enveloping aromatic aromas and a soft flavor, rich in fruity and caramelized notes.
After distillation the distillate is stored in steel barrels for 2 years, a process called by Vittorio Capovilla "rest-esterification".
It is then bottled diluted with spring water and brought to the alcohol content of 41% vol. without added sugar, flavorings or other.
