Annual limited edition of Japanese Nikka whiskeys, this year celebrates 100 years of the marriage between Masataka Takesturu and Roberta Cowan, better known as Rita, in Glasgow.

The Miyagikyo Apple wood Finish 100 th Anniversary is the new 2020 limited edition of Nikka whiskeys.

Recall that Nikka dedicates to Rita a famous and delicious Apple Brandy ... a refined Japanese delight.

Like a hundred years ago, master distiller Nikka wanted to combine Masataka whiskey and Rita's appliqué brandy in marriage.

The whiskey of the Miyagikyo distillery is aged in the barrels that previously contained the Nikka apple brandy.

Intense aromas of honey and spices characterize the softer malt of the Miyagikyo distillery (Miyagi prefecture).

Miyagikyo No Age Apple Wood Finish whiskey is a single malt without age definition bottled at 47% vol. and in 70cl format.

On the nose, Miyagikyo Apple Wood Finish whiskey is fruity with notes of vanilla and honey in relief, followed by spicy notes of apple pie.

On the palate Miyagikyo No Age whiskey Apple Wood Finish is slightly sweet at the beginning with notes of green apple peel followed by almonds, honey and malt.

The finish is sweet with vanilla and oak notes.

This Japanese whiskey is the perfect gift to amaze all Japanese whiskey fans.

Bouquet: flowery and well balanced with fresh apples, malt and a touch of sweetness from the barrels of Apple Brandy Nikka.

Palate: round and silky, with a floral sweetness, light freshness and soft finish.
