The "Quintessentia" is an Amaro that comes from an ancient recipe, elaborated in 1933 by Antonio Nonino, founder of the distillers family.
Antonio was in fact passionate about the typical Friulian traditions, in which herbal infusions have always played an important role.
He then decided to try his hand at the production of an Amaro, whose recipe has been revived by the current generation of the family since 1992.
This is how Amaro Nonino Quintessentia was born, a liqueur in which sweetness and bitter flavors blend together in harmony, reserving a centered and linear tasting experience.
The "Quintessentia" is an Amaro that comes from a careful selection of herbs made by the Nonino team, one of the most famous Italian distillers.
The herbs, once chosen, are infused into grape brandy, made from very fresh pomace.
The distillation follows artisanal procedures, using the discontinuous method, using a steam copper alembic.
Once the distillation is finished, the heads and tails are "cut", isolating in the heart the best of the aromas extracted during processing.
It then continues with the aging phase, in which the Amaro "Quintessentia" ages both in barrique and in small wooden barrels, until the bottling and marketing procedures are started.
Amaro "Quintessentia" announces itself to the eye with a color that recalls the hue of amber, with a beautiful brightness.
Full and rich the aromatic profile offered to the nose, where citrus notes alternate with spicy touches and references to aromatic and balsamic herbs.
On the palate it is medium-bodied, velvety, with a sip from which a fresh and spicy flavor emerges, in which the sweet component is well balanced.
Taste: The amber color feels the balance and softness of Amaro Nonino right from the first glance.
On the nose and on the palate the harmony is confirmed with an extraordinary scent of herbs and citrus notes.
