Ginepraio is the organic London Dry Gin that speaks Tuscan. Ginepraio is Organic Tuscany dry gin.
It was born from the collaboration between Levante Spirits and Distillerie Deta.
In baptizing it at Levante Spirits, they were inspired by the old adage "getting into a mess" (also reported on the label with the definition of vocabulary), an informal way to describe a complicated situation from which it is difficult to get out.
The same in which they ended up during the search for raw materials, all strictly certified, Tuscan and organic.
Starting with basic alcohol, which comes from wheat grown in the Mugello area; while the seven botanicals, including juniper, dog rose and helichrysum, come from Maremma, from Val D’Orcia passing through Chianti.
Distilled by means of a discontinuous copper still that we affectionately call Lapo.
Ginepraio is the only gin in the world whose traceability of alcohol and territorial plants is fully certified by control bodies.
It comes from an alcohol base in which 7 botanicals are infused separately, among which the following stand out: juniper, dog rose and helichrysum, a spontaneous plant that grows on the Tyrrhenian side of Italy and in Sardinia.
Infusions vary from 7 to 10 days; after which they are combined and distilled again through Lapo, the alembic, and then left to rest in the dark for 10 days before bottling.
View: The distillate is, upon visual examination, limpid like any self-respecting London Dry Gin.
Perfumes: on the olfactory examination it is immediately clear that it is an artisanal gin due to the strong detachment of the wild juniper from the other botanicals. In a second moment, the sinuous hints of dog rose will be felt.
Taste: In the mouth the juniper returns; secondly, in addition to the rose, you will notice the balsamic note typical of helichrysum for a persistent finish with slightly citrus notes.
