Appleton Estate Hearts Collection, a limited edition range of three single marks 100% pot still selected by Luca Gargano and Appleton Estate's legendary Master Blender, Joy Spence.

The Hearts Collection is made up of three unique vintages that embody the excellence of Appleton Estate: 1994, 1995 and 1999.

Each vintage was distilled 26, 25 and 21 years ago respectively.

The Appleton Estate Hearts Collection represents a world first: the rums that make up this exclusive series are in fact the first single marks rum, 100% pot still and vintage, that Appleton Estate has ever released in the course of its history.

The Hearts Collection owes its name to three reasons:

1) is composed of rums obtained from a 100% pot still distillation which by cutting the heads and tails keeps only the heart of the distillate.

2) Appleton Estate rums are born in the heart of Jamaica

3) the heart is the symbol that Joy Spence drew on the champion she left to Luca Gargano di Velier, after meeting him in Jamaica.

The heart is also the emblem of the passion shared by Joy Spence and Luca Gargano. And it is precisely from their meeting that this range took shape and became a reality.

For the Hearts Collection, Joy initially chose ten rums from different vintages, among the nearly 200,000 aging rums present at Appleton Estate.

The barrels of Appleton, ground for aging are one of the largest rum pot still stocks in the world.

During a trip to Jamaica, Luca and Joy met at the distillery and together they conducted a blind tasting.

Both, unique around the table, have selected the same three rums as their favorites.

And these three rums have become the protagonists of the Hearts Collection.
