Hazelburn Oloroso Cask 8 Years is a special Springbank production, triple distilled and named after a closed Campbeltown distillery.
A limited edition of only 10,500 bottles worldwide, its unparalleled characteristics and quality have made it immediately considered among the finest whiskies produced in Campbeltown.
The Hazelburn distillery is famous for triple distilling its smooth, full-bodied, and rounded whiskies.
The distillery operated between 1825 and 1925, and the Springbank distillery subsequently revived this brand for its finest triple-distilled whiskies.
Springbank, however, is very stingy with its triple-distilled Hazelburn editions.
The Hazelburn 8-Year-Old Single Malt Whisky is aged in casks that previously contained Oloroso sherry, a particular variety of sherry that is more fragrant and sweet.
The Hazelburn 8-Year-Old Oloroso Cask Single Malt Whisky is one of these limited editions.
Distilled in February 2017, it was bottled in March 2025 in just 10,500 bottles.
Hazelburn whisky is spectacular, excellent, harmonious, among the best whiskies in the world!
This final batch of the 8-Year-Old was bottled in 2025 at full strength, 48.2 proof, and was aged exclusively in casks that previously contained Oloroso sherry.
As always, Springbank does not color or filter, and it appears rather dark to the eye.
