Kilchoman Fino Sherry Cask Matured Vol.50% Cl.70

This KILCHOMAN FINO SHERRY CASK release 2023 single malt is a limited edition, aged for 5 years in Sherry casks. FINO is bottled at full strength of 50% abv.

The Kilchoman Sherry Fino Cask is a peated single malt Scotch whiskey with no definition of age aged exclusively in ex-Sherry Fino casks from the Spanish cellar Bodega Miguel Martin.

The excellent Kilchoman distillate was aged in 11 fresh sherry butts and one sherry butt refill.

This whiskey was then bottled in a limited edition of 15,650 bottles at 50% abv. without being cold filtered and without the addition of colourings.

The nose is peaty with notes of fruit and spices, it is rich and deep, it perfectly combines the flavors of sherry with those of peat and spices.

The finish is long, sweet and persistent, balanced.

Tasting Notes:

Aroma: Notes of peat and jam, white fruit jam, peaches, ripe fruit.

Palate: Thick and full. Biscuit, Plasmon citrus biscuit, a hint of salt and then soft, velvety peat.
