Rattray's

An ambitious project that uses both a 9mm filter and a reverse calabash-style cooling chamber, the Devil's Cut line is the result of Rattray's guys' passion for smoking.

The story of Rattray's begins in 1903, when the Scottish master blender expert Charles Rattray wanted to go on his own and realize a dream he had for a long time: to buy a tobacconist's license and take his place in the old Scottish capital Perth.

Thanks to his knowledge of the art of blending, all efforts soon paid off and Rattray became the benchmark for the best blends.

Later he expanded by launching the Rattray's pipe line, a private brand made of pieces selected from the best productions of some of the most appreciated and consolidated factories abroad.

After more than a century, this still living tradition is flanked by a selected series of pieces made by hand, according to Rattray's detailed requests, by a small workshop of two artisans.

The Devil's Cut is a pipe born from a careful study both for the poker barrel shape and for the smoke expansion chamber.

The flat bottom a Poker shape is perfect for the stability of the pipe.

The barrel shape allows for a high chimney suitable for flakes with a good shoulder, insulating from the high temperatures that develop during the combustion phase.

The smoke expansion chamber, called reverse calabash, cools, dries and softens the smoke itself.

The color of the black briar and the copper ferrule make Rattray's "The Davil's Cut" pipe very elegant.

The copper ferrule in homage to the distillation process evoked by both the name and the distinctive barrel shape of the series.

A nice, compact and light pipe to use every day.

The mouthpiece is designed for the insertion of the filter so as to break down the harmful substances of tobacco.

Note the negative rim to facilitate the charging of the pipe.

Each Rattray's pipe is a unique and unrepeatable piece, the external finish may vary slightly from the image as each briar pipe is a unique piece.

The variations are intended only in the nuances of the briar, the measures and the shape do not vary.
