Longrow red is aged for 7 years in ex bourbon barrels and then rests for three years in ex malbec red wine barrels.

Longrow red Malbec 10 years limited edition whiskey is placed in a segment far from Islay's peaty, it is able to release a perceptible but never invasive peaty component, which does not dominate the other aromatic components, well defined and structured.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: opens with notes of peat and salted butter, all accompanied by spicy tips of black pepper. Citrus fruits and custard are added after a few moments.

Palate: peat is felt, which is not particularly marked. The aromatic palette consists of red fruit, vanilla and a mix of hot spices.

Final: very prolonged. It releases spices, peat, minerals, yellow fruit, hazelnuts and aromatic herbs.

We recommend combining the 10 year Longrow red Malbec whiskey with an excellent Davidoff Zino Nicaragua, while for slow smoking enthusiasts with Enrimore Latakia.
